About Decoee

Custom curtains have a reputation for being expensive. The cheap alternatives have a reputation for disappointing. We started Decoee because we didn't think those were the only two options.

Most curtain regret comes from the same handful of problems: fabric that looked richer in the photo than in person, "custom sizing" that arrives with 1.5× fullness instead of the 3× hang the model image had, lining quietly skipped to save cost, and edges hand-cut on a budget production line so the panel hangs slightly askew. Industry research suggests over two-thirds of homeowners regret their curtain choices within a year. We built Decoee so you don't have to be in that statistic.

What you should know before buying custom curtains anywhere

These are the four things that most often go wrong with affordable custom curtains online — and what we do about them.

1. Fullness that ruins the drape. A panel shown with 3× fullness in the image but shipped at 1.5× will look flat and disappointing. Our pricing defaults to 2× fullness — the minimum that drapes the way you expect — and tells you upfront what 1.5×, 2×, and 2.5× actually look like so you can choose intentionally.

2. Fabrics that don't survive their first year. The worst offenders in budget custom: ultra-thin polyester (limp drape, fades fast), unlined pure linen (wrinkles permanently, transparent in strong sun), and low-grade velvets that bald along the folds. We don't carry these. The fabrics we do carry are tested for wash, hang, and fade.

3. Hidden costs and "starting from" pricing. Many custom shops advertise a low price that triples once you've added lining, header style, and shipping. Our prices include your choice of header (pinch pleat, ripple fold, grommet, or rod pocket) and standard lining where appropriate. Delivery is calculated at checkout — no surprises.

4. Made-to-measure that doesn't actually fit. This is usually a measurement problem, not a manufacturing problem. Our measuring guide walks you through every common window type, and if your window is unusual — French doors, bay window, sloped ceiling, anything tricky — you can email us a photo before you order.

How to order custom curtains in 5 steps

Most customers complete this in under 20 minutes once they've chosen a fabric.

Step 1 — Order free swatches.
Browse our fabrics and click "Order swatch" on any you're considering. Up to five swatches arrive at your door. Hold them against your wall, your couch, your light at 7am and 7pm.

Step 2 — Measure your windows.
Follow our measuring guide — there's a version for track-mounted, rod-mounted, inside-recess, and outside-mount installations. If your window doesn't fit a standard scenario, send us a photo and we'll talk you through it before you order.

Step 3 — Configure your curtain.
On the product page, choose your fabric, drop length, width, header style, lining, and fullness. The price updates live so you see the full total before committing.

Step 4 — Place your order.
Check out using standard payment methods. You'll receive an order confirmation with the production timeline (usually 2–4 weeks depending on fabric and complexity) and a tracking link once shipped.

Step 5 — Receive and hang.
Curtains arrive pressed in protective packaging with care instructions and hanging notes included. If anything isn't right — wrong tone, off measurements, drape you're not happy with — message us within 14 days and we'll make it right.

Why we're a small team, on purpose

We're not trying to be the biggest curtain shop online. We're trying to be the one you'd recommend to a friend renovating. The person who selects each fabric is the person who replies to your email and signs off on the production cut. That means we can stand behind every order, give you a real answer to a tricky question, and respond quickly when something needs sorting.

Talk to us before you order

Have a question about your space, our fabrics, or how a particular look will work in your room? Don't guess — email us.

📧 hello@decoee.com — we reply within one business day.

For the fastest, most useful answer, include:

  • A photo or two of your window (with the surrounding wall in frame)
  • Approximate dimensions if you have them
  • What you're hoping for — blockout for sleep, soft light filter, privacy without darkness, acoustic dampening, just a finished look
  • Any fabrics or styles you've already shortlisted

We'll come back with a specific recommendation, swatch suggestions, and a price estimate — no obligation to order.

Good curtains are a long-term decision. We'd much rather help you get the right ones the first time than have you join the two-thirds who buy twice.
