FAQ
How do I measure for curtains?
Width and drop length, measured from the rod or track:
- Width: measure your rod or track from end to end. For a fuller, more luxurious look, choose curtains 1.5×–2× the rod width (this is the "fullness ratio"). For a flatter, more minimal look, match the rod width exactly.
- Drop: measure from the bottom of the rod (or top of the track) to where you want the curtain to end. Common choices: just below the windowsill (sill drop), to the floor minus 1 cm (floor drop, classic), or 5–10 cm pooling on the floor (puddle drop, more dramatic).
Our size guide on each product page has a diagram if you'd rather see it visually. If your window is unusual — bay, arched, sloped — email us a photo and we'll work it out together.
How does custom-cut work?
At the order step you enter the exact width and drop you need (in cm, in 0.1 cm increments). After you place the order, our team checks the dimensions against the product's spec sheet. If anything looks off — typo, mismatch, or sizing that won't work for the fabric — we email you to confirm. Once confirmed, the panel goes into production. From confirmation to your door is typically 3-4 weeks.
How long do custom orders take?
2–3 weeks for production, plus shipping depending on where you are. Tell us in the order notes if you need it urgently.
What's the difference between sheers, blackouts, and Roman blinds?
- Sheers filter daylight. They soften light and provide daytime privacy, but you can still see shapes through them at night when interior lights are on. Best paired behind a blackout layer for bedrooms.
- Blackouts block light. Triple-weave or high-density fabric prevents light passing through the panel. Best for bedrooms, nurseries, and home theatres.
- Roman blinds are panels that fold up in horizontal pleats when raised. They sit closer to the window than curtains, take less floor space, and work well in kitchens and bathrooms where panel curtains would be impractical.
You can layer all three: a sheer behind a blackout curtain on the same window, with a Roman blind for daytime adjustment.
Do you offer fabric samples?
Yes, samples can be purchased and delivered to your home.
How do I care for linen and linen-blend curtains?
- Hand or machine wash on a gentle cycle, cold water.
- Do not bleach.
- Hang to dry. Linen blends can also tumble dry on low.
- Iron on low if needed. Faux-linen polyester usually doesn't need ironing.
- Spot-clean Roman blinds with a damp cloth — do not machine wash.
Specific care instructions are on each product page and tagged onto the panel.
What hardware do I need?
Curtains list their compatible hardware on the product page. Quick guide:
- Eyelet/grommet curtains: any rod up to the inner ring diameter (usually 4 cm or 1.6 inches). No clips needed.
- Hook-style curtains: any standard curtain track. Hooks are sewn into the top tape.
- Korean pleat: standard track, hooks pre-installed.
- Tab top: any rod up to about 4 cm diameter.
- No-drill tension: an extendable tension rod, no wall mounting required.
If you're not sure, email a photo of your existing setup and we'll tell you what fits.
Can I get a discount for ordering multiple windows?
Yes. Orders of 4+ panels (any combination, any product) get an automatic 10% discount at checkout. Trade and interior designer pricing is available with verification — email hello@decoee.com.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Send a photo to hello@decoee.com within 7 days of delivery. We send a replacement at our cost and arrange collection of the damaged original — you don't pay for anything. This applies to all items including custom-cut ones.
Do you have a showroom?
Not yet. We're a small business. Fabric samples by post are the closest thing right now — and most customers find that's enough once they have the swatch in hand against their wall.
How do I cancel or change an order?
- Within 24 hours of order confirmation: email hello@decoee.com with your order number and we'll cancel or amend it free of charge.
- After 24 hours, before production starts: still possible — email us and we'll do our best, but a small re-stocking fee may apply.
- After production starts: custom items can't be cancelled. Standard items can still be returned within the 30-day window after delivery.
We email you the moment your order enters production, so you'll always know where the cancellation window stands.
